Terms of Service

Last updated

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing bagster.io, the carrier dashboard, partner portal, public tracking pages, or the REST API, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

These terms apply to visitors, carriers, partner businesses (API-key and org-seat users), and administrators.

Description of Services

Bagster provides a logistics marketplace and control plane for shipping from Turkey and China to African destinations. Capabilities include:

  • Matching and assigning verified carriers to eligible corridors
  • Order create / list / cancel / status via REST API and partner desk
  • Public tracking with optional PIN unlock for recipient PII
  • Partner webhooks and Shopify / WooCommerce connector intake
  • Carrier accept / reject / proof-of-delivery workflows
  • Invoicing views and admin-operated settlement desks

Bagster is an intermediary platform. Physical transportation is performed by independent carriers. Bagster does not guarantee every marketing corridor is live until a verified carrier route exists for that lane.

Accounts and API access

You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential.

  • API keys (yk_live_ / yk_test_ / legacy bgst_) are secrets; you are responsible for usage under your key
  • Test keys only match sandbox carriers; live production hosts reject test keys unless sandbox mode is configured
  • Org-seat partners authenticate via session; API-key partners authenticate via X-API-Key
  • We may suspend accounts or keys for abuse, fraud, security risk, or terms violations

Carrier responsibilities

Carriers agree to:

  • Provide accurate routes, capacity, and pricing
  • Maintain required licenses, permits, and insurance
  • Handle shipments with reasonable care and update status timely
  • Comply with applicable customs and transport law

Carriers are independent contractors, not Bagster employees.

Partner / shipper responsibilities

Partners and businesses agree to:

  • Provide accurate shipment and recipient information
  • Ship only lawful goods; respect prohibited-item rules and destination restrictions
  • Use idempotency keys on mutating endpoints as documented
  • Pay invoices according to contracted rates
  • Not scrape public tracking or abuse rate limits

Prohibited items

You may not ship through Bagster:

  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances
  • Weapons and explosives
  • Hazardous materials not approved for the corridor
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Live animals
  • Perishables unless expressly arranged with the carrier
  • Items prohibited by origin or destination law

Violations may result in cancellation, account termination, and referral to authorities.

Fees, invoices, and settlement

  • Partner pricing follows contracted rates and quote responses returned by the API
  • Invoices may be listed/created via partner invoice endpoints and admin tools
  • Carrier payouts and customer refunds are processed through Bagster’s **manual admin payments / disputes desks** — not via automated partner payout APIs
  • Cash-on-delivery (COD) and mobile-money payout rails are **not supported**
  • Retired payment-retry partner endpoints return HTTP 410
  • Late payment or chargebacks may result in suspension

Tracking and privacy

Public tracking pages intentionally redact sensitive recipient fields. Unlocking PII requires a tracking PIN or other ownership proof. Partners must not expose API keys on public pages.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Bagster is not liable for carrier delays, loss, or damage beyond fees paid for the affected service, except where mandatory law provides otherwise
  • Carriers maintain their own insurance and liability for physical transport
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages are excluded where allowed
  • Claims should be filed promptly (generally within 30 days of the expected delivery date) via disputes or support

Intellectual property

Platform software, trademarks, and documentation are owned by Bagster or licensors. You may not reverse engineer the service, scrape data at scale, or misuse Bagster marks without permission.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for terms violations, illegal activity, non-payment, or security risk. Upon termination, API access and dashboard access cease. Surviving obligations (fees owed, confidentiality, liability limits) remain.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey, unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
